The Association wants to highlight some of the things is has been up to recently. First, the Association was lucky enough to tour the C B Nuckolls Black History Museum in Ashland, Kentucky last week! This museum is going to be highlighted on Social Media for the next few Wednesdays. We will examine the exhibits, etc.
The museum covers not only aspects of national or general Black History, but it also has a lot of exhibits featuring localized history from Ashland itself. We were so pleased with the chance to tour the museum and hope to support them in their efforts to promote Black History in Eastern Kentucky.
Next, the Association is collaborating to plan an event that will take place on Martin Luther king Jr. Day, January 15th. The event is in conjunction with the Muhammad Ali Center in Louisville, Kentucky from 9:00am-3:30pm. It will provide professional development to teachers for FREE! Breakfast and lunch are also provided. The flyer is above. The QR Code and web address can be used to register!
